There is a traditional Asian belief that art can lose its impact when displayed over long periods of time. To keep the viewing response heightened, paintings are often hung for a shorter duration and are stored for later use.

Goldenleaf Gallery presents collections of affordable art that will enhance any decor. Each frameable art card and print is suitable for displaying as the seasons change, or to coordinate with your favorite color schemes.

To start your personal collection, simply use (or buy) one or two beautiful standard size photo frames and find a suitable place to display the art. As you begin to gather a few images, rotate your collection throughout the year, and store unused prints for later use. Display framed art in book cases, hutches, on a desk, table, dresser, or hang on the wall.

All the images have diffused edges with soft white borders that require no matting to look beautiful. The art is printed on 80 lb. cover stock for lasting durability, and is signed by the artist. The affordability of Goldenleaf Gallery art cards and prints makes gathering your personal collection easy, creative, and fun.

More by Janet:

Almond Essence:

Janet has written and illustrated a book, Almond Essence: Recipes for making and using sprouted almond milk, seed cheese, kefir, and more. Almond milk, made from sprouted almonds and other nuts and seeds, is packed with vitamins, antioxidants, minerals, phytochemicals, enzymes, and healthy omega fatty acids. With a good quality blender and strainer, a quart of almond milk can be made in five minutes (after a few practice runs!). Just follow the quick and simple directions with accompanying photos.

Janet says: "Back in the 70's our son became congested and sensitive to dairy products. Soon the whole family was in need of finding dairy-free milk. It took many years before we discovered how to make milk from sprouted almonds. Sprouting the almonds enlivens the enzymes, so the milk is "alive".

Once we had perfected the basic almond milk recipe, we learned that this delicious, uncooked milk could be used in all of our favorite recipes. We made smoothies, and later learned how to make seed cheeses with sprouted sunflower seeds, and almond milk or kefir. The milk was so versatile and worked so well with everything. And it wasn't expensive, which was a surprise. Also, it didn't come in a box, was super fresh, and making almond milk ourselves helped the environment because there were no throwaway boxes going into our landfills.

Later we learned how to make milk blends with other nuts and seeds to create a balance of EFAs and milks with subtle nuances of flavors. We love almond milk because isn't heated, so it helps to rebuild the enzymes that can become depleted from eating cooked and processed foods. And almonds are a renewable resourse."

Almond Essence is available through Amazon, or the Almond Essence website, www.almondessence.com. The book contains fifty original vegan and vegetarian recipes (made without wheat, eggs, or sugar), thrity-five of which are raw food recipes. Enjoy dishes such as Fresh Herb Seed Cheese, Ruby Red Purifying Salad, Tropical Delight Smoothie, or Teddybear Pancake Breakfast. Almond Essence can be helpful for people with Celiac disease, or anyone who is lactose intolerant. It's also a wonderful addition to any diet, or for someone looking for a unique new food.

Art on Tile:

Forty-five of Janet's paintings, and seventy small crops from the paintings, are available through the exciting new art tile company, Dancing Tile, owned and run by CEO Terrie Lambert, in Santa Rosa, California.

Coming Soon:

The Healing Feast: The Art of Intuitive Eating & Living a Love-based Lifestyle

The Healing Feast will explore how each person can draw upon their inner knowingness and intuition to discover the best, uniquely personal, approach to diet (whether this is traditional, vegetarian, or raw food, etc.) in health and healing. Focus will be on our 100% raw food diet that we began in April, 2005.

There will be stories of spiritual interaction with living plants - such as making flower essences - and the consciousness in foods that we are learning to perceive. Each week a special recipe will be spotlighted with accompanying photograph or painting, along with a short article or poem about living a love-based lifestyle, and insights on food, life, and spirituality.

Please send an email if you would like to be notified when The Healing Feast website is active.
